I have to agree with Maggy (May 28) regarding motorcycles and the associated noise pollution.

I have nothing against motorcycles per se. Indeed, some of my best friends are motorcyclists.

I do think we have a problem in the current day with certain motorcycles and their riders who seem to think it clever to achieve maximum revs and, in the process, maximum annoyance, to anyone living close-by.

I live close to the Crown roundabout. Much of the time the area is peaceful and quiet, but at certain times, the noise from motorcycles is all pervading.

Why is there not a law regulating noise pollution from motorcycles in the same way as there is from cars? Surely this is something that is easily achievable.
