DORSET’S Litter Free Coast & Sea group is offering equipment for small groups who want to carry out their own beach litter picks.
All large-scale volunteer litter campaigns have so far been abandoned this year because of the pandemic lockdown.
The group say they will now be able to offer equipment for those who want to arrange a DIY beach clean, although will be unable to make gloves available for hygiene reasons. The offer only applies to groups of up to six to comply with current social distancing rules.
The group says it has also revamped its volunteer scheme and has a new expression of interest form available.
For information about that scheme, or to loan equipment for beach cleans, please contact the group via email - LitterFreeCoastSea@dorsetcc.gov.uk
