A peaceful Black Lives Matter protest took place in the town over the weekend.
People took to Bridport's Millennium Green on Saturday with placards and banners, socially distancing from one another and wearing masks.
As well as hearing from a range of speakers, protestors knelt for eight minutes and 46 seconds, the time a police officer had his knee on George Floyd's neck before he died last month.
The protest was organised by Esmeralda, Bethan and Tilda who 'urgently want to address homegrown racism'.
They said: "We have been disappointed by the prevalent attitudes, alarming inaction, educational shortfalls and policing bias in our home county of Dorset, so in response we are hoping to generate momentum by mobilising our privilege to begin the process of change."
