A fitness bootcamp class has raised more than £500 for a west Dorset food bank.

FitAgain, made up of husband and wife team Andrew - a personal trainer - and mental health nurse Lucy, held a charity bootcamp on May 24 to get people active and raise money for a worthy cause.

In total, the class raised £540 for Cupboard Love food bank in Bridport, which included the match funding donated by Bridport Round Table

Lucy said: “The event was a great success and we were so pleased to have been able to support such a great cause at this time.

“The class had over 50 people watching the live class and many others catching up later on the FitAgain Facebook page.”

FitAgain is a family business and as much as possible, include their children - Amber and Holly - in the exercise sessions to encourage other children to take part.

Lucy added: “We are delighted to have been supported by a number of local companies for raffle prizes and Bridport band Jurassic Black allowed us to use one of their songs for our final piece where every time ‘are you ready’ played, everyone had to do a burpee. Also special thanks to Bridport Round Table for its support.

“As uncertain times continue and for the foreseeable face to face group classes are not advised, FitAgain continue to provide bi-weekly free fitness sessions on Facebook and Instagram, suitable for all ages on Tuesdays at 6pm and Thursdays at 6.30pm. Within the current restrictions, FitAgain are now able to do one to one personal training session in outdoor spaces, maintaining the two metre restrictions.”
