Here's what roadworks are scheduled to take place this week around Bridport, Beaminster and Lyme Regis.

  • From June 8 to 9 there will be traffic control in Main Street in Bothenhampton to allow Dorset Council to carry out survey work.
  • From June 9 to 11 there will be some carriageway incursion in Rax Lane while Wessex Water make a new connection at the Christian Science Society building
  • Between June 9 and 11, Wessex Water will be repairing a leak in St Swithins Avenue and there will be some carriage way incursion. There may also be delays on St Andrews Road, Bridport, and The Street, Charmouth, where Wessex Water will also be working.
  • From June 8 to 10 there will be two-way traffic signals on the B3162 from Furleigh Cross to the junction with Whithay Lane, Salway Ash, as Dorset Council carries out general maintenance.
  • Cycle path works are continuing on East Road so may be delays around the Esso roundabout until June 13.
  • Shipton Road in Shipton Gorge will be closed from June 8 to 12 while BT carries out works on underground cabling and clearing potential blockages. The diversion is via the A35, East Road, Burton Road and to Shipton Lane.
  • Western Power Distribution is carrying out works in Higher Street, Bradpole, on June 10 and there may be delays.
  • Tunnel Road in Beaminster will be closed from 7pm on June 11 to 7am on June 12 as Dorset Council carries out works. The diversion is via Broadwindsor. There will also be traffic controls on Tunnel Road on June 12 and 13 for Western Power Distribution works.
  • There will be two-way traffic controls on Cobb Road, Lyme Regis, from June 9 to 15 while Western Power Dsitribution carries out work and there will been traffic controls in Uplyme Road until June 10 as South West Water repairs a burst main.
  • There will be multi-way signals on Sidmouth Road until June 12 as SGN carries out work as well as two-way traffic controls on Lyme Road on June 11 for BT works.
