FIRE engines rushed to the scene of a home on fire in the Westham area of Weymouth.
Two crews arrived at the scene of the incident at Holland Road yesterday afternoon to find smoke billowing from the window of a first floor flat, and immediately got to work extinguishing the fire using breathing apparatus and a hose reel.
The cause of the fire was unknown and an investigation is being carried out by the fire service.
A spokesman for Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Thankfully no one was hurt in this incident.
"At this time the cause of the fire is unknown and the incident has been left in the hands of the fire investigation officer."
