A broken down yacht prompted a coastguard callout.
Portland Bill Coastguard Rescue Team was tasked by the National Maritime Operations Centre to meet a yacht that had suffered a issue with its boom whilst on passage from Torquay to Chichester shortly before 9.40pm on Saturday.
The vessel had tried to make its own way into Portland Marina for repair but later suffered a engine failure not far from the breakwater.
The yacht was recovered by a vessel from Portland Port back to the port.
Coastguards met with the crew and conducted a welfare check and gave some safety advice before returning to station.
