Two homes have been agreed for a field next to Brackendale on the western edge of Charmouth.

The scheme is a modified version of an application which was approved by Dorset Council earlier in the year.

Both of the three-bed properties are to be self-build and will be ‘upside down’ homes to make the most of the views.

A planning officers report says the changes from the originally agreed application include a 400mm increase in the ridge height and a smaller increase in the thickness of the walls.

The homes will have brick up to first floor with a timber effect panel above under a grey blue reconstituted slate roof.
