Planning permission is being sought to convert an existing barn to a garage at Down Farm Cottage, Bincombe Down, near Winterborne Monkton.
The application, to Dorset Council, says the Dutch barn is semi-derelict and to convert it would enhance the local landscape. The plan asks for a double garage on the same site, lower in height than the existing building.
Comments on the application can be made until Friday, June 5 with a decision expected to be made by a planning officer.
