Police are urging motorists not to leave valuables in their car after a handbag was stolen.

The bag was stolen from a car parked at Eggardon Hill on Saturday morning.

A spokesman for Bridport Police said: "There has been a theft of a handbag from a vehicle at Eggardon Hill over the weekend. This occurred on Saturday morning.

"If anyone has any information, please contact us.

"As per previous advice, please do not leave any personal/valuable belongings in vehicles that are left unattended."
