There have been no reported coronavirus-related deaths at Dorset hospitals in the past 24 hours.

Figures from Public Health England show the number of patients to have died after testing positive for Covid-19 in the county remains at 142 for a third day running.

In total, 23 patients have died at Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester; 13 at hospitals run by Dorset Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust; 45 at Poole Hospital and 61 under the care of the Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

It comes as a further 186 people, who tested positive for Covid-19, have died at hospitals in England, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 24,345.

Patients were aged between 15 and 99 years old, and 10 of the 186 patients (aged between 30 and 94 years old) had no known underlying health condition.

Their families have been informed.
