Magna Housing’s garden competition will be a little different this year as it goes virtual.

A spokesman said: “Lockdown and the lovely weather we have had so far has given us the opportunity to spend more time in our gardens.

“We have therefore decided to continue our annual garden competition this year, but with a few changes in particular, virtual judging.

“There are cash prizes up for grabs, so even if it’s not usually your thing, give it a go this summer.”

The categories are large garden, small garden, patios/containers/window/hanging baskets/indoor pots, sustainable/wildlife garden including vegetables, children’s creative gardening including fairy gardens and miniature gardens, and the tallest sunflower.

The deadline for entries is June 19.
