Another five people have died after testing positive for coronavirus in Dorset. 

Two further deaths have been reported at Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester, bringing the total to 11. 

The first death came on March 21 and, sadly, the most recent came yesterday. 

Another three people have died while under the care of the Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (RBCH), bringing the total number to 16.

No futher deaths have been reported at Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust or Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust 

Overall, it means 46 people have died after testing positive for the virus in the county. 

Today, NHS England has reported a further 828 people who tested positive for Covid-19 have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 6,483.

Patients were aged between 22 and 103 years old, and 46 of the 828 patients - aged between 35 and 96 years old - had no known underlying health conditions.  

Their families have been informed.
