A further two people have died of coronavirus in Dorset.

One death was recorded at Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester and the other under the Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

It means 30 people have died in the county after testing positive for Covid-19. 

In total, eight people have died at DCH between March 21 and April 4, while there have been 10 deaths at RBCH between March 25 and April 3. 

Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has recorded 10 deaths and two have been reported at Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust. 

Today, NHS England confirmed a further 403 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 4,897.

Patients were aged between 35 and 106 years old.  15 of the 403 patients (aged between 52 and 94 years old) had no known underlying health condition.  

Their families have been informed.
