Letter: Community will suffer for the sake of money
I understand Dorset Council are reviewing the car parking fees and are considering charging for after 6pm.
In some ways this could be considered a tax on community and charity activities. At that time of night parking is used by locals who are taking part in these activities.
With the back streets full of parked cars where are the many (maybe several hundred) going to park, or will people give up and not come to the town.
The community will suffer for the sake of money.
