FRANCIS Lee, director of the film Ammonite, about the life of Lyme Regis fossil hunter Mary Anning, has written on social media that he 'can't wait for people to see it'.
All cinema releases have been postponed with cinemas closed due to the coronavirus crisis.
"The current circumstances mean I don’t know when it’ll premiere," he wrote.
The film, starring Kate Winslet as Anning and Saoirse Ronan, was filmed at West Dorset town and beach locations.
Mr Lee added: "Thank you for all the continued support and when it is released, I hope you’ll all flock to the cinema to see it."
