THE Veterans Hub in Weymouth is ‘determined’ to provide for armed forces veterans during the coronavirus outbreak.
Andy Price, the founder of the group, said: “If we have our hands tied and we have to close to the public, as far as we’re concerned we’re determined to provide some form of service to our armed forces veterans.
“We have got service users down here everyday that rely on us.
“People have donated goods for us to distribute.”
He also announced that The Veterans Hub will be providing free hot and cold drinks to emergency service workers during the pandemic.
He said: “Any emergency service workers, whether that’s nurses or doctors on the frontline or police officers, if they need a break they can come in for a free cup of tea or coffee.”
At the moment The Veterans Hub will be open from 10am to 4pm from Tuesday to Saturday.
However, this could change depending on government guidelines.
