CHICKERELL United have halted all senior playing activity due to fears over the coronavirus pandemic.
The Chickens were due to host Broadstone Seniors at the Stalls, but called the Dorset Senior League game off yesterday.
Chickerell's decision comes as play continued in their division with Tisbury United beating Cranborne 3-1 - the only fixture to be fulfilled.
In a statement, Chickens' secretary Jim Pitney said: "Due to the uncertainties surrounding coronavirus we have decided to cancel all foreseeable future fixtures, until we are satisfied it is safe to fulfil our fixtures.
"We have not taken this decision lightly but the health of our supporters and players is paramount.
"As a club we are concerned for our members, families, supporters, players and other teams' players. We strongly stand by this decision."
In Dorset League Division Four, Chickerell United Youth Colts continued play with a 2-1 win over Crossways Spitfires.
