A weather warning for ice has been issued for tonight as Dorset braces itself for snow showers.
A yellow weather for ice has been issued for the whole of the county from midnight until 10am on Wednesday.
The Met Office has warned there could be potential for some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces.
While icy patches could also occur on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said: “A mix of rain and hail showers, with some snow over higher ground, is likely to leave surfaces wet overnight. Surface temperatures are then expected to fall below freezing with icy stretches forming in places.”

A small feature will develop on Tuesday evening and feed showers in from the west. These showers will start of as a mix of rain and sleet, but turn readily to snow during the night. I am expecting some well organised snow showers between 22:30-1am. pic.twitter.com/r6kpcVul6B
