Motorists will face more delays as roadworks continue.
Due to complications, Hogshill Street in Beaminster will continue to be closed this week to repair damaged drains.
Beaminster Town Council received a statement from Dorset Council. It said: “Due to complications found, the drainage works in Beaminster will continue from Tuesday, February 25.
“We apologise for the extension of the road closure, but we need to replace the damaged drains before we repair the road next month.
“The road will be closed daily between 9am and 3.30pm, but it will be open overnight and at weekends with traffic lights. Unfortunately, due to safety and noise issues, this work cannot be completed at night.
“Businesses are open as usual within the town and signage will reflect this.
“Further drainage works are still required around Fleet Street and the Square that can be carried out under traffic signals and proposed to start on March 2.”
The works were due to be completed on February 21.
During the closure, the No 6 bus has been diverted via North Street and Beaminster Tunnel. Passengers going to Crewkerne should get on the bus in North Street, near the Kingfisher chip shop, and passengers for Bridport should wait at the Red Lion pub. There are likely to be delays to the service.

April 2 – April 3 – Dorset Council – Fleet Street – Road closure 2100 - 0600 - Surfacing
April 3 – April 8 – Dorset Council – Culverhayes – Road closure – microasphalt surfacing
April 6 – April 9 – Dorset Council – Tunnel Road – Road Closure
April 6 – April 10 – Dorset Council – Woodswater Lane and Flaxfield Road – Road closure – microasphalt surfacing
April 6 – April 13 – SGN – Styles Close – Give & Take
April 6 – April 17 – Western Power Distribution – multi-way signals – road crossing for reinforcement scheme
April 13 – April 27 - SGN – Monmouth Gardens – Give & Take
April 18 – May 5 – SGN – North Street – Road closure – completion of previous works to lay reinforcement main
