A PASSENGER suffered suspected back and neck injuries after a vehicle crashed into parked cars.

Emergency services were called late last night to West Road, Bridport, where the vehicle had collided with the parked cars.

Crews from Bridport Fire Station were called to help at 10.30pm.

A spokesman for the fire service said: "One vehicle had collided with parked cars causing extensive damage. The driver was able to release themselves from the car but the passenger had suffered suspected back and neck injuries.

"Crews got to work stabilising the car and cared for the casualty until the ambulance service arrived.

"Once the paramedics had assessed the casualty it was decided to remove the roof of the car and extract the casualty on a spinal board.

"Finally crews ensured all cars involved were safe and left the incident in the hands of the police. We wish the casualty a speedy recovery."
