HIGHLY acclaimed artist Eve Goodman is playing a gig in Bangor.

A joint show with Cynefin is on at the Blue Sky Cafe, on the High Street, on Friday, February 21.

In 2019 Eve was chosen by the BBC as one of twelve Horizons/Gorwelion artists from Wales.

After her degree in literature, Eve left Cardiff to live in a cabin on a Cornish farm where she wrote and recorded her first EP, Low Sun.

Now, back in the mountains of North Wales, her current writing explores the territory of grief, and rising up after losing her father.

In 2018 she released her second EP, Straeon I Ganeuon, a bilingual collection of songs written during her artist residency in the CARNafan (a ‘creative caravan’ space) in Caernarfon.

The songs echo the ancient folk tradition of storytelling. She is currently writing her first album and will record her third EP, of songs inspired by women and the sea.

Tickets £10 on the door, online or 01248 355444. (Doors open at 7pm. Music at 8pm.)
