A barn at Middle Farm, Long Bredy can be converted into a one-bed holiday home.
The building is part of a farm complex on a site which stretches from Corner Cottages to the junction south of Middle Farm.
It falls within the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Bride Valley Landscape Character Area, Long Bredy Conservation Area but is outside of the Defined Development Boundary.
The only external alteration proposed is the replacement of a first floor door with a window and the insertion of a roof light and window. Planning officers decided that these changes would not detract from the appearance of the barn and the character of the conservation area or AONB.
The consent imposes a condition suggested by Long Bredy & Kingston Russell Parish Council that the building should only be used for holiday accommodation.
