SOLAR roof panels could be fitted to the roof of Bridport Hospital.
It has asked Dorset Council planners for approval for the siting of panels capable of producing 100kw of power.
The application says the panels will be positioned, where possible, to minimise the effect on the external appearance of the North Allington building with the panel frames coated in a matt finish to reduce reflection.
They will sit on four roof areas on the main block of the building, if approved.
