More than half of Dorset’s town and parish councils have declared a climate emergency.

Most are expected to be represented at an ‘inquiry day’ into the subject on Friday, February 21 when the most promising of more than 500 suggestions in climate change made by the public will be considered.

A selection of the best ideas will then be then be put forward as part of Dorset Council’s emerging climate and ecological strategy, expected to come before the full council in June.
