Dorchester Town first team coach Robbie Herrera has called on his side to “put up a fight” and prove to the rest of the division that playing the Magpies is not a guaranteed win.

After six defeats on the bounce in the BetVictor Southern Premier South, the Magpies are bottom of the league and facing an uphill battle to survive the drop.

Herrera will take charge of the Magpies tomorrow against Hendon (3pm) while manager Leigh Robinson is on holiday.

Hendon have won their last five and Herrera says they will be expecting to continue that run against Dorchester.

He said: “They have had a few results this year and will probably be looking at us as another easy three points so we have got to prove them wrong.

“We are the whipping boys in the league at the moment and everyone is looking at us and thinking it’s a guaranteed three points.

“We need to be a little more resilient and we need to make sure we put up a fight.”
