A WEEKLY support group for teenage girls has been introduced by certified therapist, Tracy Kimberg.

The initiative, Fearlessly You, will launch at The Breathing Space in Brewery Square, Dorchester, on Wednesday, February 5.

The group aims to provide a safe space for young people aged 13 to 16 to talk about a range of topics, from stress and meditation to drugs, family problems, and mental health difficulties.

Tracy, who has three daughters of her own, decided to launch the initiative after experiencing firsthand the complexity of finding immediate help for a child going through an emotional crisis.

The support group is open to anyone, not just those experiencing a difficult period of their lives.

"You don't need to be in the midst of a crisis to come along," she says. "Just come and hang out, gave a hot chocolate and a chat. Maybe meet some new friends."

A certified family therapist and counsellor with several decades of experience as a professional nurse and midwife, Tracy wants to encourage people to talk more openly about mental health.

The support group will take place every Wednesday from 4.30pm to 5.30pm. Each session costs £5 per person, including hot chocolate and biscuits.
