A comedy charity night is bringing laughs and good will to a Highams Park pub.
The inaugural Boom Boom Comedy Club for charity Act 2 Aid was held at The County Arms in Hale End Road, on Tuesday, January 21.
Comedian Geoff Alderman has been named as the regular MC for the monthly event.
Act 2 Aid offers offer performing arts workshops for children and young adults.
The charity aims to take its work globally from 2020 onwards and is aiming to raise £2,000.
Amanda Goodwin, head of the charity, said: “Having run ACT 2 Drama School for nearly 17 years I have always wanted to offer our services to children that don’t get this opportunity.
“Having researched many charities I have found whilst although doing incredible work for people and children all across the globe nobody really goes in and just gives children the opportunity to be children which is what ACT 2 AID aims to do by offering all elements of performing arts to children and young adults globally.”
