A charity offering social and community-based opportunities to people in west Dorset has announced its new timetable of activities.

The Prout Bridge Project, based in Beaminster, grew out of the town's youth club and is now a social hub welcoming residents of all ages.

A free community craft and coffee morning, open to adults, runs every Monday, while a baby and toddler play group is held from 10am on Tuesdays and a junior club for those aged eight to 11 on Wednesdays from 5pm to 6.45pm.

The Phoenix youth club band rehearsal, open to students aged eight to 18, take splace on Tuesdays from 6pm to 8pm. New members are always welcome, so if you play an instrument or like to sing, drop in and give it a go.

On Thursdays and Fridays, a range of dance classes in tap, hip hop and ballet take place, with lessons catered to different ages.

A drop-in session called SPACE, the organisation that runs LGBTQ sessions for young people, begins on Thursday, February 13, and will be held on the second Thursday of the month thereafter. Entry is free and the group runs from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.

Round off the week with 50p hot dogs in the main hall and coffee bar, from 7pm on Friday for people up to 18.

Prout Bridge is also now offering its function rooms out to hire, for parties, celebrations, meetings and get-togethers.
