The next meeting of the West Dorset Western Area Transport Action Group (WATAG) will be held on Thursday, January 23 at the WI Hall in Bridport from 6.30pm.

Beginning with an Annual General Meeting reviewing the last 12 months, members will then share ideas and plans for the upcoming year.

The meeting will go on to discuss recent reports from major public transport providers, including Dorset Community Transport and First Wessex, as well as South Western and Great Western Railways.

A representative from Dorset Travel has been invited to attend to update members on the strategy for public transport provision, namely the inner urban route between Bridport and Yeovil.

There will also be a 'democratic moment' when anyone can raise questions about local bus and rail services.

WATAG is a voluntary group with an interest in public transport principally in West Dorset. Visit www.watag.org.uk for more information.
