A former councillor will return to the council after she resigned last year.
Cheryl Reynolds was elected uncontested to Lyme Regis Town Council after Cllr Jeff Scowen left just before Christmas.
A spokesman for Lyme Regis Town Council said: "Cheryl Reynolds will be returning to the council after being elected uncontested as a town councillor. She was the only person to be nominated for the vacancy and as such, no election will need to take place.
"We are expecting her to sign her declaration of acceptance of office on Monday."
She resigned after an explosive meeting in May last year - the first for the newly-elected council - and walked out after the mayor and deputy mayor, Cllr Brian Larcombe MBE and Jeff Scowen, were elected respectively.
She said she could not serve under their leadership.
