A man has been airlifted to hospital after a serious crash.
Emergency services were called to the A3066 this morning.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received a call from a member of the public reporting a road traffic collision at North Perrott Road, Crewkerne.
Firefighters from Yeovil and Beaminster were immediately sent by fire control.
On arrival, they found one man was trapped inside a vehicle following a two vehicle road traffic collision.
Crews got to work to stabilise the vehicle and make it safe before removing the side of the vehicle using hydraulic rescue equipment to extricate the casualty.
He was transported to hospital by Devon Air Ambulance.
Police have closed the road and the local council are en route to implement a formal diversion.
