Residents have been warned to be vigilant
Power tools have been stolen from a trader.
Police say an unknown person was seen to walk away from the victim's trade vehicle, which was left unlocked, in Netherbury at about 3pm on Monday.
It contained two drill boxes.
The offender was seen getting into a dark car, possibly a Vauxhall.
Police have urged the public to remain vigilant, saying: "Please do not leave unattended vehicles insecure and report any suspicious activity to us."
