EMERGENCY services cut an injured person free from their vehicle following a two-vehicle crash near Beaminster.

Crews from Beaminster and Bridport fire stations along with police, the air ambulance and land ambulance crews attended the incident at around 5.45pm yesterday.

A spokesman for Bridport Fire Station said: "One appliance from Bridport and one appliance from Beaminster Fire Station was mobilised to a road traffic collision at Toller Whelme along with the ambulance service and police.

"Crews made the scene safe then removed the roof from one vehicle and extricated one casualty.

"The air ambulance also attended but wasn’t required to take anyone to hospital."
