YOU'LL have to get on your bike if you want to be part of a great cycle ride for a good cause.

Next year sees the 20th anniversary of Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and it will be the charity’s 10th Coast to Coast Cycle Challenge.

Taking place on Sunday, May 17 2020, the event will see riders take on a 56-mile route from Watchet, Somerset, to West Bay. A shorter 11-mile route starts at the Royal Oak pub in Drimpton and also finishes at West Bay.

Online registration opened earlier this month. Those wishing to take part next year will have to be quick, as demand for the 600 places available is once again expected to be high.

Participants can enter as an individual or as a team and the charity is hoping that anyone who is fortunate enough to gain a place, will use the opportunity to raise additional funds by asking their family, friends and colleagues to sponsor them.

Entrance fees are £30 for adults and £10 for under 16s.
