The iconic Jurassic Skyline tower is soon to be gone forever as work to remove the landmark from Weymouth's skyline continues.
Images from yesterday showed that the deconstruction of the 53 metre tall tower is nearing its completion. Passers-by could see a crane taking down the main body of the structure.
The removal of the tower was announced in August, a decision that was put down to declining numbers of visitors.
The process of taking it down began last month. Weather permitting, the work is scheduled to be fully completed by the end of February.
The Jurassic Skyline tower opened in 2012 in time for the Olympics.
The attraction opened all-year round until 2016 when it started closing for the winter, reopening in April. However, it did not open this summer at all.
It is to go overseas after being sold to another operator.
