A person was taken to hospital after a car crashed into bollards in Poundbury.

Dorset Police said they were called at 8.24am to reports of a crash.  

A police spokesman said the incident occurred on the A35, but this was incorrect.

It actually happened in Middle Farm Way

An onlooker said the incident took place between Monkeys Jump Roundabout and Sunny Days Nursery.

And said she could see the ambulance service and paramedics.

In an update, police said the local authority was made aware of the incident because the vehicle crashed into bollards.

The vehicle has now been recovered and the road has been cleared.

The car involved was a silver Toyota.

A spokesman for the ambulance service said: “We sent a land ambulance and a rapid response vehicle.

“One patient was taken to hospital for further treatment.”
