BRIDPORT Fire Station is sharing safety advice after it received two calls to chimney fires in a single night.
Yesterday at 5.56pm, one of the station's appliances was sent to attend to a chimney fire in North Allington.
The crew used a thermal imaging camera and a chimney kit to put out the fire.
Later in the evening at 10.10pm, the crew was called to the second fire, this time on St Andrew's Road. Again, a chimney kit was used to put out this blaze.
A spokesman said: "Remember to have your chimney swept regularly to reduce the risk of a fire. It is recommended to have your chimney swept at least twice a year depending on what fuels you are using. It should also be swept if it has not been used over a prolonged period of time."
