Police are appealing for information following a hit-and-run on the A35.

At 5.45am on Monday, November 11, Dorset Police received a report of a man walking in the road on the A35 at Askerswell.

Officers found the man, aged in his 30s from Devon, who reported he had been hit by a car and was taken to hospital for treatment to a broken arm.

Police Constable Rebecca Barnes, of Bridport police, said: “The man reported being hit by a dark-coloured car that did not stop at the scene.

“I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or have relevant dash cam footage of the incident to come forward.”
