Drivers should be prepared for delays on the B3157 Bridport-Weymouth coast road over the next week.

Works by Wessex Water at Goose Hill, Portesham, mean temporary lights will control traffic on Wednesday to Friday of this week. This is so engineers can repair a mains leak.

Temporary lights will also be used in Bramdon Lane at the Weymouth end of the village from Tuesday, November 26 to Friday, November 29. This is connected to repair work at a property.

Elsewhere, work by Western Power resumes today near Burton Bradstock. A section of Shipton Lane, near Kennon Farm, is closed while this work is carried out. There is a signed diversion.

The closure is expected to be lifted at the end of the day.

Also, an 80-metre section of Crock Lane in Bridport will be closed from this Wednesday until Tuesday, December 3 to allow BT to carry out works along the carriageway.

A diversion will be signed.

Information boards have been put up in the area warning of the closure and letters have been delivered to residents directly affected by the works.
