STEPHEN WILMINGTON, aged 49, c/o Osprey Close, Houndstone, Yeovil. Found guilty at Bridport of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal, namely a dog called Archie, by an act, namely by punching and striking Archie, and knew or ought reasonably to have known that the act would have that effect or be likely to do so. Fined £60 and to pay costs of £100.

MATTHEW BENJAMIN HYDE, aged 35, of Harveys Close, Maiden Newton. Admitted driving a vehicle on a road after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in breath was 64 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. Fined £625 and to pay costs of £675. Disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 17 months.

STEVEN GRANT WILLIAMS, also known as STEPHEN GRANT, aged 26, c/o South Street, Bridport. Admitted failing without reasonable excuse to comply with the requirements of a community order. Community order revoked. Dealt with for original offences of assault by beating, possessing a quantity of cannabis, a Class B drug, and resisting a constable in the execution of his duty. Community order with rehabilitation activity requirement.
