Bikers are once again being invited to gear up for a charity motorbike ride from Weymouth to help beat addiction in the south west.

The Action for Addiction ride, hosted by Bikers For Action South West, will return for the sixth time in April 2020, and registration is now open for the popular event.

The ride is open to all motorcycles, scooters 125cc minimum and trikes, and is learner friendly. It raises money for Clouds House, a rehab centre near Shaftesbury that treats anyone affected by drug, drink or gambling addiction.

The Action for Addiction ride was founded by John and Wendy Bramble of Chickerell in memory of their son Craig, who sadly died in 2001 from solvent abuse. Last year a record turnout saw over 200 bikers take part in the ride, gathering at ASM on the Granby Industrial Estate before riding in procession along the coast road to West Bay and then on to Exmouth Football Club for a barbecue.

Next year's event follows the same route and will take place on Sunday, April 19 from 10am - 6pm.
