FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 15

  • Enjoy a neon music night at the Tithe Barn in Symondsbury from 7.30pm, with music from the Vinyl Monkeys. Tickets cost £4.50 from symondsburyestate.co.uk and includes a glow stick. Proceeds to Bridport Pantomime Players.

 

  • A bingo night is being held at Bridport Town Hall, with eyes down at 7.30pm. The event is a fundraiser for the upcoming Bridport Christmas Cheer evening on December 4. There will be a bar and refreshments.

  • Nos Three presents Blooming Out, a physical theatre play per formed by Bianca Bertalot and Maria de Jesus Rocha on the meaning of the feminine universe. SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 16

  • Bridport Artisan Market will take place at Bridport Arts Centre from 9am.

 

  • Vinyl Saturday Record Fair returns to Bridport United Church Hall from 10am. Entry costs £1.

 

  • Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre will host a Jurassic Art and Craft Fayre from 10am to 5pm. There will be Christmas gifts by local artists and makers as well as knitted items, decorations, glass paintings, seaside gifts, cards, jewellery, ceramics, cakes, preserves and refreshments. Christmas craft activities for children will take place from 11am to 12.30pm with ammonite tree decorations and a lucky fossil dip.

 

  • Help create a lantern for a parade during Bridport Christmas Cheer at a workshop in the town hall from 10.30am to 2.30pm.   • Nos Three will perform ‘Friendly Ever After;’ at the Lyric Theatre from 10am. The interactive play tells the story of two young characters trying to find true friendship.   • The annual Eype Makers’ Market returns to Highlands End Holiday Park from 10am to 4pm. Find a range of gifts and items from local makers, bakers, artists and craftspeople.

 

  • Local families and young people are invited to find out more about Bridport Cohousing and the development of affordable homes near Bridport Hospital. An afternoon of short talks and Q&As will be held at the town hall from 2pm to 5pm. Tickets are free and available from bit.ly/2kG2fNI

 

  • A special concert showing the workings of a recently restored church organ at St Swithun’s Church from 3pm. There will be pieces from JS Bach, Langlais and Gigout. Entry is free and donations will go towards church funds.

  • Eve Appleton will be performing live at The Pursuit of Hoppiness from 7pm.

 

  • Unsense Me! a prize-winning documentary offering an insight into the experience of mental illness from the view point of people who have been through it, will be shown at the WI Hall in North Street. Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. It costs £4, or less if you can’t afford it, and refreshments will be available. There will be a discussion after the showing.
