A fundraising concert has been hailed a success as more people than ever attend.
The Fairey Band concert at St Mary’s Church in Beaminster, raised £1,500.
This year, the brass concert was raising money for Remembering Not to Forget, which was set up in Dorset to support people impacted by dementia.
The annual event is organised by Tony and Margaret Greenham, who said: “It was full, we had to put out extra chairs - it was the most we have ever had.
“It was a great success and people are already saying that they are looking forward to next year’s event - it was brilliant.
“It gives us a great deal of satisfaction that we can do our bit for people in our twilight years and what a result this year was.”
The event raised £1,000 for Remembering Not to Forget and £500 for St Mary’s Church.
Mr and Mrs Greenham would like to thank the sponsors for their support, which include, HC Lewis and Co Ltd, PH Hardwill Ltd, Fox Joinery, Myers Scott Ltd, Maggie and Peter Brook, AJ Wakely and Sons, S Robinson, M and G Ryan, N and E Carter, C Wood and C Bartle Tubbs.
