Young people, families and first-time buyers living in and around the town are being invited to find out more about Bridport Cohousing.

Members of the Community Land Trust, which plans to build 53 homes near Bridport Community Hospital, are holding an information afternoon on the development.

There will be short talks on the cohousing project, information about affordable housing on offer for young people and families and what makes a cohousing neighbourhood different.

Homes are available for social rent through the group’s partner housing association or shared ownership help to buy at 25 per cent to 75 per cent of market value.

There will be lots of time for question and answers, find out about how to become a member of Bridport Cohousing and how to register for a home.

The group is looking for young people, families and first-time buyers who live locally to join them. The allocation of homes to people over 60 is currently full.

The event is free but ticketed. Places are limited and tickets are available from bit.ly/2kG2fNI
