'It's the photos you don't plan for that end up being your favourites.'

Photographer James Loveridge clambered to the top of Quarr Hill in Bridport on a chilly autumn morning to be met with this magnificent view of Colmers Hill shrouded in fog.

"There's nothing like a Dorset landscape on a chilly autumn morning and sometimes it's the photos you don't plan for that end up being one of your favourites," said James.

"I was expecting poor weather all week, so hadn't even checked the forecast, but when I woke up I couldn't see anything from Bridport so knew there was a chance Colmers would be poking out the top of the fog.

"When I got there, I spent quite a while getting the photos I wanted from Quarr Hill, before popping to Eype Down for a different angle and then to West Bay to see if there was any fog flowing off the clifftop - but by the time I got there it had all gone and it was a warm, sunny day.

"Dressed for work, I ended up with shoes completely soaked through and sliding down a hill at Eype Down with my camera rolling after me - so it was eventful."
