It is once again time to recognise individuals who excel at customer service in our local food and drink industry.

The Bridport Local Group’s Front of House Awards are back and is asking customers and shoppers to nominate those who have gone above and beyond.

The categories are restaurants, pubs or bars, cafes, take-aways, market stalls or kiosks and food or drink retailers.

In each category, they are looking for the person who consistently demonstrates high service standards, who always goes the extra mile and has a true understanding of their trade.

The winner will be the person who receives the most nominations in their category and will receive a cash prize and certificate.

A team prize will also be awarded to the establishment within each category who receives the most individual votes.

A spokesperson for the awards said: “If you have been impressed with the level of service you have received when dinning out, having a drink or shopping in one of the many food and drink outlets in the area, please do let them know by completing a nomination form.”

Nomination forms are available in various venues around the town, at Bridport Tourist Information Centre or can be downloaded from bridportfoodfestival.co.uk.

Forms should be returned to a box in the tourist information centre by October 31.

The awards, sponsored by Baboo Gelato, will be presented at the Bridport Local Food Group AGM in the town hall on Tuesday, November 12.
