Heavy rain could bring floods and disruption to Dorset today as a weather warning has been issued by the Met Office.
A yellow warning is in effect from 12pm today until 12pm on Tuesday - meaning there is a chance that homes and businesses could be flooded and damage caused to buildings.
According to the Met Office there is also a small chance that fast flowing or deep floodwater could cause danger to life.
Residents are being warned to expect travel delays, including cancellations to train and bus services, amid difficult driving conditions due to spray and flooding.
Forecasters have predicted 15 to 25 mm rainfall "quite widely" across the UK, with potential for 40 to 60 mm in some places.
The rain is expected to clear away northeastwards during Monday evening and night.
