Dorset Police are appealing for information following a quad bike theft and a dog attack.

A quad bike was stolen from a west Dorset farm on Tuesday night after offenders broke a padlock to gain entry to the premises near Loders.

A spokesperson for Bridport police said: “At approximately midnight, two unknown persons entered a yard by cutting padlocks before stealing the quad bike.

“If anyone has any information about this crime, please contact Dorset Police.”

Police are warning dog owners to keep their pets under control after a sheep was put down following an attack.

A Bridport police spokesman said a sheep was attacked in a field on Allington Hill sometime between 5pm on October 2 and 9am on October 3.

A spokesman said: “Can we remind dog owners that they have a responsibility to keep their dogs under control.”

Anyone with information about the attack should call police on 101 quoting number 55190155888.

Officers are also appealing for the owner of a bag and jacket to come forward after the items were found on a park bench in Bridport.
