A meeting is being held about the new Integrated Urgent Care Service, which provides an easier way to get the help you need.

The service is aimed at anyone with urgent health problems and is being led by Dorset HealthCare in partnership with local GPs, the ambulance service and three hospitals.

The local health services are working together to ensure everyone has the right service at the right time

Dr Steve Tomkins, a local GP and Medical Director of Dorset HealthCare, will be the main speaker

He will explain how the new 111 phone line service and online service work and how the right healthcare professionals are chosen for you.

Lead Governor for the trust Jan Owens said: “This is a service that could be needed by anyone at any time so we hope lots of local people will come along to hear more”

The trust is open to any suggestions locals may have on what they can do better, and as well as emergency healthcare services, the meeting is a way of discussing future plans for physical and mental services.

The meeting is on October 23 from 3pm-5.30pm at the Allendale Centre, Wimborne and will be held at the Annual Members Meeting.
